Chef’s comment

Born in Tokyo on September 15, 1948.
I was willing to enter an art university but I failed in the exam. At that time, the one who was a diplomat of mother's acquaintance, decided to take a post as a Consul General in Italy, and invited me "Come as a cook?" Became a chance to be a cook in the first place. I thought that "designing and cooking are the same", so decided to follow him.
In 1968, as a cook with Japanese consulate official residence in Milan I worked for five years and learned about Italian cuisine.
In 1983, opened AL PORTO in Nishi Azabu, Tokyo.
Complete own Italian dishes such as serving a kaiseki style Italian small dish as an owner chef, and it became the forerunner of the Italian cuisine trend.
Currently, he is also active as a "master of Nishi-Azabu" in cooking classes and cooking fairs on TV, magazines and other areas.

In April of this year, I was appointed as the lead chef. Carefully selected seasonal ingredients, we offer delicate and savory Italian cuisine. While inheriting the taste of owner chef, Mamoru Kataoka, at "Alporto" in Nishi Azabu, Tokyo, we finish in a unique dish to "Alporto Shizuoka". Please spend a elegant time while overlooking the wonderful view of Shizuoka on the top floor of the hotel. Please use us for meals of anniversary and gatherings with important people.
