Since the Sengoku era, the castle town has been flourished as the center of transportation, logistics, and politics. As Naruse family became the castellan of the Inuyama castle, the castle town developed like now. The townscape still has the old town atmosphere, and cafes and grocery stores which renovated old Japanese-style houses, are lined up.

Have a lunch at an old Japanese-style house which was built 200 years ago. Enjoy the "Ise shop temari sushi" which use salmon, tuna, salmon roe, avocado. For rice, use konnyaku rice which is made by konnyaku potatoes, so it is healthy.
Honmachi Saryo
It is a cafe that has renovated an old Japanese-style house which was built 100 years ago. You can taste Japanese and Western sweets such as "fluffy shaved ice", and "colorful cream Zenzai".

03:15PM Historical Attractions Inuyama Castle
In 1537 (Muromachi era), the Inuyama castle was founded by Nobuyasu Oda who is Nobunaga Oda 's uncle. It has been designated as a national treasure of the oldest existing castle tower in Japan. It is also an unusual castle owned by the Naruse family individually from the Edo era to 2004.

From the top of the castle tower, you can enjoy the 360-degree panorama views such as the beautiful Kiso river, Mt. Ontake, Gifu castle and Nagoya station buildings if the weather is fine. In the season of cherry blossoms and autumn leaves, you can also see the beautifully colored Inuyama.

In the castle, you can feel atmosphere of the wooden architecture such as corridors that make a squeak when walking on floors, and steep staircases. Enjoy the scenery of the Kiso river and the castle town spreading under the windows with "castellan feeling" or "princess feeling" by climbing up to the top of the castle tower!

07:00PM Experience Kiso River Ukai (Ukai excursion ship plan at night)
"Ukai", which domesticate cormorants and make them catch river fish such as sweetfish, is a traditional fishing method that carry on the history of 1300 years. In the "Ukai at night", appreciate master’s skillful technique with cormorants from the ship.
Kiso River Ukai (Ukai excursion ship plan at noon)
In Inuyama, held the demonstration of "Ukai at noon" which is unusual in Japan. It is the best point that you can see well master’s hands because surroundings are bright. Enjoy the master’s technique while savoring the meals of local restaurants with comfortable breeze on the ship.

"Ukai at night" is about 75 minutes. In addition to the Ukai, Kiso river with the beautiful sunset, slightly illuminated Inuyama castle, and boats decorated with lanterns, you can face moments many times that you want to take pictures of them.
